Wow....
I wonder if there far enough into making the game that they'll release screen shots or maybe even have a working demo to show at the E3 Game Expo that's coming up in a few weeks.
[Edit: I just got the chance to fully read the article. It looks we will get to see something of the game at the E3 Expo. It does however look like the game will not be out until 2007. Maybe released with the new film]
Man, I love what they've done with the last 2 Spider-Man games and from what I'm reading the new Superman Returns game coming out that allows you to explore ALL of Metropolis has me excited. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed this new Indy game will be one that sets the standard for all the others to come.

I said this over at COW and I'll say it here as well. I may have to put my gear collecting on hold to save up for a PS3. Right now the rumors for it's price are all over the map so I'm not sure what it's going to cost. I know I won't pay a ton of money for it that's for sure. All I know is that I've seen what the X-Box 360 has to offer and I've seen footage of what the PS3 can do and it's night and day. I want to be playing this new Indy game on that.

Here's the latest info from E3 on the new Indiana Jones game. Hopefully they'll have pics as well once the show starts. LOS ANGELES--LucasArts has announced that Indiana Jones 2007 will head its E3 line-up this year. The name is provisional at this stage, but it will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and features an original story written under the direction of George Lucas. The game is also a technological collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic, which is based under the same roof as LucasArts. The new adventure will feature locations from around the globe and Indy will be able to use his fists, whip and revolver against enemies. Other new technology to be included in the game includes NaturalMotion, which LucasArts promises will deliver lifelike action and awareness to every character in real time. Indy will stumble then attempt to maintain his balance, brace himself for falls then get back up and reach for nearby ledges when falling. Pixelux Entertainment’s Digital Molecular Matter has also been employed, which is a technical way of saying that walls will crumble, glass will shatter and organic plant life will sway in the game. LucasArts promises that the power of these two consoles has been utilised to offer open-ended and completely destructible environments. Indiana Jones 2007 will also feature vehicle-based sections that will be remeniscent of those from the film, such as the mine-cart scene in The Temple of Doom, and the free-for-all aboard the tank in The Last Crusade. The game promises a longtime rival, old friends, trusted allies, although no specifics have been announced as yet. There's no release date for the game or information on whether it will be playable at the show, but we'll be darting over to the LucasArts booth to find out once the show opens.

Wow, Harry! Thanks for posting that! The game sounds like it's going to be awesome! Now, if they could just create an Indy game where Indy is in 3D...

Hey! Follow this link. They have a trailer and screen shots of the game now. It looks great and I'm guessing that this isn't even the final build because the game doesn't even come out until 07! I can't wait to play this!!!! www.lucasarts.com/games/indianajones/

Harry, thank you SO MUCH for posting that! Wow!!! I never expected to see something like this so soon! I mean, I knew that the game was being made and everything, but a trailer and screens as well!?! I have to say, Indy looks fantastic and those whip skills are incredible. I agree with you, Harry. I cannot wait to play this game. It's going to be awesome! Also, I love the way that Indy has been used in a newsreel.

Yeah, the trailer for the game was pretty cool. I have a feeling because they've priced the PS3 so high that I'll be playing this on the X-Box 360!
I'd rather spend that type of cash on gear. I think as far as video game consoles go $400 is my limit as to how much I'll spend.
I just hope they make a version of this for the Nintendo Wii. I think that would be so cool to be able to use that new controller use Indy's whip with.

Harry, That looks like you in that pic. Cheers, John Yeah, it does a little. I wonder if Ford was in Ft. Wayne around June 1971! I'm a little suprised with this being next-gen that they didn't make him look exactly like Harrison like they've done with the Sean and the newest James Bond game.

Yeah, I have to confess I'm in Indy 4. I play "Not so Young Indy" in the film. I don't know about the stunt double thing. One stunt and I'd be finished. I just hope they would give me a nice burial ceremony!

I was actually contacted to do some look-a-like work for Indy 4. The problem is, they wanted me to double for the catering guy. Seriously, nice photo Harry! Ken

Getting back on topic.... J/K The game is looking really cool. Great attention was obviously paid to the clothing and gear, which is really nice. I will have to watch the trailer when I get home from work today. Ken
