Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you a gift that my wife painted for me. This is one replica prop I have wanted for a while now and she was able to squeeze in the time to work on it between work and working on her Master's. I am so excited that I'll be able to add this to the rest of my Indy prop replicas. Thank you Jess!! The painting is acrylic on canvas and measures 14" x 18".

Yeah, that is cool. Not only do you now have a cool looking prop you also have a very special gift from your wife that you can cherish forever. Although my wife has never made me any props before she did kick my a$$ like that German mechanic from Raiders for spending so much money on my gear. So I do have some SA bruises!

Thanks guys. Yeah it is a pretty cool replica and I am very proud of it. The flash has washed out some of the color and I am hoping to take better pics once we have some sun again.
My wife also thanks all of you for your comments on the painting. She has indicated she might be able to do a few more if anyone is interested in one. PM me if you are interested.

That's so sweet and of course the painting looks absolutely amazing. I think you should find a nice wooden frame for it and hang it in the livingroom.

I plan on "framing" this painting by mounting it on a wooden backing just as it appears in the Lucasfilm archives book. I want to keep it as screen accurate as I can. Here's a few details of the knights. Again, the flash has washed out the color. The painting is much richer in person. Thanks again for your comments everyone.

Thanks for looking Junior. To answer your question, she used the Lucasfilm archives book as the main source as the book has a large picture of the prop. I still have not framed it yet. I've spent too much time fishing this summer.

Does anyone know where to find any good quality pics of this painting? I want to try to paint it, but I want to get it right.

The Lucasfiilm archives book is what we used as reference. I'm sure if you do a search, you'll find some pics. You can also try COW as well.

Another Indiana Jones gear community, that ironically would not allow our name mentioned in a thread at their place. It's short for Club Obi Wan, the name Lucas gave Lao Che's night club in Temple Of Doom. Ken

Nothing like reviving an old post.... lol
I'm looking for a good quality painting of this picture if anyone has a reference?
I've seen some mounted on wood on ebay but I just need the canvas copy unmounted.
IM me if you know as I might be checking back here for a few days+.
Thanks:
Max
